of the date of September 20, 2009 was formed block-Lima LGBTI Student made up of several groups and independent learners universities and institutes involved and committed to the LGBTI community.
The formation of block occurs in a context where we think the young people in our condition of students involved with the problems of our reality, we can be a fortress in the Peruvian LGBT movement and contribute from a different generational vision, fresh and diverse social transformation.
We introduce ourselves as students together and united to promote the visibility and awareness in respect of sexual diversity within Peruvian society, with the aim of building a truly democratic, inclusive and equitable. We also see it as a mechanism for coordination and strengthened cooperation and strengthened LGBTI students in the full exercise of our citizenship in the context of a secular and multicultural state.
Among our objectives are:
- make visible that there are spaces LGBTI university student, to enable other students to integrate and involve in our struggles.
- Encourage our visibility within each school and college, revealing the existence of other affective realities different from heterosexual sex.
- Provide guidance, support and legal support and other students like us and we face to discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
- Report and eradicate any type of homophobic act, lesbophobic, bifóbico, transphobic and interfóbico in the university.
- Promote and perform different artistic activities, cultural and academic issues relating to LGBTI, as well as collaborate and promote activities of other university associations.
- Form strategic alliances other movements, organizations, parties, etc. to promote respect for sexual diversity in all areas of our lives.
hope to have the support and solidarity from other LGBTI groups in Peru and Latin America also believe it is important that other student organizations and / or independent students regions to join this initiative and conform to any and all plural a major national project to help our struggles, goals and dreams come true, build camaraderie and unity among us, and make our lives mechanisms of change and revolution social.
